Pre-AP American Studies 8 is designed around the extensive theme of geography, exploration and discovery, democracy, conflict and compromise, mobility, change and challenge. Class assignments and activities build on and expand concepts, content and skills through a student inquiry based approach. Themes are selected to allow students to engage critical thinking skills to compare and contrast the past and present with respect to our history and heritage, including critical perspectives on government and politics.
